The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia today issued the following statement:
A four-member delegation from the Consultative Council (Majlis Al-Shura) met in Washington DC yesterday with a number of congressional leaders, including Senators George Allen (R-Virginia) and Robert G. Torricelli (D-New Jersey), who are members of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee. The delegation, comprised of Deputy Chairman Bakri Shata, head of the Islamic Affairs Committee Dr. Saleh Al-Ali, head of the Foreign Relations Committee Dr. Bandar Al-Eiban, and former head of the Foreign Relations Committee Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Fayez, offered the condolences of the Council and of the people of Saudi Arabia for the loss of life during the September 11 terrorist attacks against the World Trade Center and the Pentagon and emphasized Saudi Arabia's support for, and full cooperation with, the United States in the effort to eradicate terrorism.
