(WASHINGTON, DC) - Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz met with U.S. President Barack Obama today at the White House. Prince Salman conveyed greetings to the president on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.
President Obama and Prince Salman noted the strong and historic relationship between the two countries and engaged in productive talks on a wide range of bilateral and regional issues.
Prince Salman was accompanied by Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet Dr. Mosaad Al-Aiban and Saudi Ambassador to the U.S. Adel A. Al-Jubeir.
Earlier today, Prince Salman also met with Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta; John Brennan, assistant to the president for homeland security and counterterrorism; and Gen. James Mattis, commander, U.S. Central Command.
