(WASHINGTON, DC) – Saudi Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to fighting terrorism during a statement yesterday at the White House Summit on Countering Violent Extremism. Prince Abdulaziz led the Saudi delegation at the summit.
“Saudi Arabia is fully committed to fighting terrorism and all its sources regardless race, color, religion or doctrine,” said Prince Abdulaziz.
During his remarks, Prince Abdulaziz stressed collective responsibility in fighting extremist ideology and terror financing.
“In this regard, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has issued many internal procedures and regulations and penalties to counter and eliminate this phenomenon.”
Saudi Arabia vehemently condemns extremists and terrorists who aim to subvert the Islamic faith. Saudi officials and religious scholars have long been outspoken against terrorism and extremism.
