(WASHINGTON, DC) - Yesterday, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) welcomed a donation of $3.5 million from Saudi Arabia, as the Kingdom’s annual contribution to UNDP. The Saudi Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Abdallah Al- Mouallimi presented the check to UNDP Executive Director, Helen Clark.
During the meeting, Ambassador Al-Mouallimi expressed the Kingdom's appreciation and confidence in the work that UNDP does in its efforts to assist countries in need and achieve sustainable development for its citizens. He also assured continued support and cooperation among the two groups.
Saudi Arabia is a valued partner of the UNDP as evidenced by its past donations surpassing $200 million.
