(WASHINGTON, DC) – The Saudi Ministry of Interior announced today the dismantling of a five-member terrorist cell hiding in Riyadh and Dammam. Two terrorists were killed and three were arrested by Saudi security forces in coordinated raids. All five terrorists were Saudi nationals.
An Interior Ministry spokesman said the cell planned to carry out a terror attack that had reached late stages of execution.
Saudi Arabia has long condemned terrorism in all its forms and maintains a policy of strong international cooperation to fight terrorism around the world. For decades, Saudi Arabia has been a target of extremists and terrorists.
