(WASHINGTON, DC) – Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz sent a cable of condolences to His Majesty King Philippe of Belgium, condemning the criminal attacks in Brussels and calling for global cooperation to fight terrorism.
“It is with great sorrow that we learned of the terrorist attacks in Brussels. On behalf of the government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, we strongly condemn these criminal acts and express the deepest of condolences to Your Majesty, the families of the victims and the brotherly people of Belgium,” said King Salman. “We reiterate the importance of international efforts to confront and eliminate this dangerous scourge, condemned by all divine religious and international norms and conventions”
Crown Prince Mohammad bin Naif, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, sent similar cables of condolences.
Saudi Arabia has long condemned terrorism in all its forms and maintains a policy of strong international cooperation to fight terrorism around the world.
