(WASHINGTON, DC) – The Saudi Ambassador to the United States Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir today offered his condolences to the family and friends of American pilot Joseph W. Grant.

“On behalf of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia I extend my deepest condolences to the family of Captain Joe Grant. Captain Grant served an important role in the early days of the modern Saudi state as the first airline pilot for King Abdulaziz in 1945. He assisted in bringing aviation to the Kingdom, which earned him the King Abdulaziz Medal- First Class."
