The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz chaired in Riyadh today the summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) leaders with the attendance of King Mohammed VI of Morocco.

The final communique highlighted the summit's promotion of the strategic partnership of cooperation between Morocco and the GCC.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has received a telephone call from Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi.

During the telephone conversation, they reviewed bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways of enhancing them in all fields. They also discussed the exerted efforts in enhancing stability and security in the region.  King Salman  stressed the Kingdom's keenness in Iraq's unity and security.

The Foreign Ministry today condemned the terrorist attack in the Afghan capital of Kabul that left dozens dead and wounded hundreds more.  The Foreign Ministry reaffirmed the Kingdom's solidarity and stand alongside Afghanistan in its war against the dangerous scourge of terrorism in all its forms. The ministry also expressed the condolences of the Kingdom to the victims' families and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan government and people, and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, met today in Riyadh with US Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter.   During their meeting, they discussed fields of existing military cooperation between the two countries and ways of enhancing them. They also discussed the latest developments in the Middle East, including the Iranian interferences in the regional affairs, and combating terrorism.

Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir met today with French President Francois Hollande's special envoy for the Middle East peace, Ambassador Pierre Vimont.   The meeting focused on reviving the stalled Middle East peace process within UN Security Council resolutions and the Arab peace initiative.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh this afternoon.

The Cabinet applauded King Salman on the success of his visit to Egypt and the signing of numerous agreements and MoU during the visit, as well as the establishment of a causeway between the two countries.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and Minister of Interior of Djibouti Hassan Omar Mohammed Burhanuddin signed a cooperation agreement in the field of security.

The King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid (KSRELIEF) delivered electronic office supplies to Zambia, including TVs, 350 computers and 25 paper shredders.  The Center is also set to distribute 26,000 food baskets in the coming few days.

Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) have condemned the aggressions against Kingdom’s embassy in Tehran and the consulate general Mashhad, which constitute a flagrant violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations, and international law which guarantees the inviolability of diplomatic missions.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz today urged solidarity and unity among Muslims to fight terrorism and bring about peace and security in the region. King Salman made these remarks during a speech at the 13th Islamic Summit Conference of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation being held in Istanbul this week.
