The Ministry of Interior today released an update on the August 6 terrorist attack on worshipers in a mosque at Special Emergency Forces Command in Asir Province. The attack resulted in the death of 11 security personnel and 4 Bangladeshi workers, wounded 33 others.
The suicide bomber was identified as Yousef Suleiman Abdullah Al-Suleiman, Saudi national, who is linked with a terrorist group. The terrorist group includes the following Saudi nationals:
- Saeed Ayed Saeed Al-Deir Al-Shahrani
- Taiee Salem Yaslam Al-Shehri
- Abdulaziz Ahmad Mohammed Al-Bakri Al-Shehri
- Abdullah Said Abdurrahman Al-Bakri Al-Shehri
- Eqab Mojeb Fazaan Al-Otaibi
- Majed Zaid Abdurrahman Al-Bakri Al-Shehri
- Mubarak Abdullah Fahad Al-Wadani Al-Dosari
- Mohammed Sulieman Raihan Al-Saqri Al-Enazi
- Mutaiee Salem Yaslam Al-Sairee
The Interior Ministry issued a warning to everyone not to deal with these individuals and asked for assistance in their apprehension. A one million riyal ($267,000) rewards was issued for information leading to the arrest of a wanted terrorist and SR5 million ($1.3 million) if the information leads to the arrest of more than one wanted terrorist. Seven million riyals will be the reward for information that thwarts terrorist act.
