An official source at the Foreign Ministry stated that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's condemns the aggression of the Turkish army aggression in northeastern Syria. This act of aggression is considered to be a blatant violation of the unity, independence and sovereignty of Syria. 

The source said that this aggression constitutes a threat to regional peace and security. Stressed the need to ensure the safety of the brotherly Syrian people, and the territorial integrity of Syria.

Finally, the source said that regardless of the excuses made by Turkey to justify this violation of Syria's sovereignty, the invasion will result in severe negative repercussions on the security of the region, adding that it will especially harm and undermine international efforts to combat Daesh (ISIS) in these locations​.
