The Saudi Embassy in Washington hosted its Passport DC celebration on May 3 from 10am-4pm as part of its participation in the annual “Around the World Embassy Tour.” The event, organized by Cultural Tourism DC, features embassies across the city opening their doors to the public.
At the Saudi Embassy, activities included music, dancing, a fashion show, an audio visual presentation, a question and answer session, prizes and giveaways and a traditional Arab lunch. In addition, attendees had the opportunity to get their names written in Arabic calligraphy, receive henna decorations, and have their pictures taken in traditional Arab dress. Some 1,800 people visited the embassy during the event.
