As part of Vision 2030's commitment to enable women and remove roadblocks for female employment, The Ministry of Civil Service announced on Wednesday that it has established an agency within the ministry aimed at promoting women's economic empowerment by decreasing female unemployment rates in the public sector, and promoting their advancement into leadership positions.
In related news, The General Authority for Statistics (GASTA) published today the results of a labor market survey it conducted for Q2 2019. The results of the survey revealed that the rate of economic participation among Saudi women reached 23.2% compared to 20.5% in the previous quarter.
The rise in women's participation rates demonstrate the Kingdom's unequivocal support of Saudi women, enabling them to strengthen their future.
