The Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), representing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, transferred the Kingdom’s partial contribution, $80 million, to support the Palestinian Authority’s budget. Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Egypt and Saudi Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, Ambassador Osama bin Ahmed Nuqali, released a statement last Thursday that the SFD has transferred $80 million to the account of the Palestinian Ministry of Finance. He also stressed the Kingdom’s continued support for the Palestinian cause at all political, economic, and humanitarian levels. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has provided $6 billion to the Palestinians in the form of humanitarian assistance, development aid and relief over the last two decades and the value of assistance provided to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) was $1 billion for the same period.
