The Ministry of Foreign Affairs today denied a statement posted on the Iraqi Foreign Ministry’s website alleging that Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir expressed the Kingdom’s intention to cancel Iraq's debts.

In a statement, the Saudi Foreign Ministry said that the Kingdom is keen on building the best relations with Iraq and on increasing official exchanges at the highest levels between the two countries, a fact reflected in the recent meeting the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz held with Prime Minister of Iraq Haider Al-Abadi on the sidelines of the recent Arab Summit in Jordan.
