Saudi Arabia’s foreign assistance exceeds the United Nations’ goal of 0.7 of gross national product (GNP), the Kingdom’s Permanent Representative of the Geneva-based United Nations Faisal bin Hasan Trad said today.
Addressing the Human Rights Council, Ambassador Trad said that between 1973 to 2009, the Kingdom’s foreign assistance totaled $99.75 billion, surpassing the UN’s 0.7% targeted rate.
