The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz today issued a number of royal orders, including the appointments of a new ambassador to the United States and ministers of Culture and Information, and Communications and Information Technology. King Salman removed Civil Service Minister Khaled Al-Arj and ordered an investigation of possible abuse of office. The royal orders also included the appointment of two new governors and a number of deputy governors. King Salman ordered the restoration of financial allowances for civil servants and military personnel that had been suspended under earlier austerity measures.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman was named minister of state for energy affairs, Prince Khalid bin Salman was appointed ambassador to the United States, Abdullah bin Amer Al-Sawaha was appointed Minister of Communications and Information Technology, and Dr. Awwad bin Al-Awwad was appointed Minister of Culture and Information.
Hail Province Governor Prince Saud bin Abdulmohsin has been replaced by Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad and Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan replaced Prince Mishal bin Abdullah as governor of the Northern Border Province.
