The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Indonesian President Joko Widodo held talks at Astana Presidential Palace in Jakarta today.
During the meeting, King Salman cited the historic close cooperation between the Kingdom and Indonesia and said that the challenges facing the world today necessitate to deepen dialogue, and intensify efforts to confront those challenges. The King appreciated the position of Indonesia in supporting Islamic solidarity as well as the fair cause of Palestinian people.
Developing a stronger relationship build on a firm bases would positively contribute to tackling the regional and international crises, and enhance cooperation among Islamic countries based on good neighborhood, non-interference in the domestic affairs of other countries and solving of disputes through peaceful means according to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Charter, UN Charter and principles of international law.
King Salman arrived in Jakarta earlier in the day after concluding a four-day visit to Malaysia.
