Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz held official talks at Al-Yamamah Palace today with visiting President Xi Jinping of China.
King Salman welcomed the Chinese president and described the friendly relations between the two countries as witnessing a steady growth during the past 25 years. "I recall my visit to your friendly country in March 2014. During that visit, we held fruitful meetings that were reflected on joint cooperation in various fields. Your Excellency's visit today enhances this cooperation and friendship between the two countries and peoples," King Salman said.
"The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and China are seeking together for stability and promoting peace and security in the world. We appreciate Your Excellency's efforts in this regard", King Salman said.
The challenges facing the world, particularly terrorism, require the international community to unite in countering it. The international community should emphasize the principles established by the Charter of the United Nations, particularly the non-interference in the internal affairs of States as well as the respect of their sovereignty so that security and peace prevail among States, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques said.
"I am confident that our discussions today will be in the interest of our two countries, and will enhance efforts being made to bring peace to the region," King Salman said.
