The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz chaired today the GCC-US Summit at Al-Diriyah Palace.
The summit was attended by King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa of Bahrain; Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait; Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Emir of Qatar; U.S. President Barack Obama; Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; Sayed Fahd bin Mahmud Al-Saied, and Deputy Premier for the Cabinet Affairs of Oman.
During the meeting King Salman said; "In my own name and on behalf of the GCC leaders, I thank your Excellency to attend this constructive and fruitful summit which will contribute in enhancing consultation and cooperation among the GCC states and the United States,"
King Salman stressed keenness and commitment of the GCC states on developing historical and strategic relations among the GCC countries and the United States in order to serve common interests and security and peace in the region and the world.
The Kingdom’s official delegation to the GCC-US Summit included Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Ambassador to the U.S. Prince Abdullah bin Faisal bin Turki, Minister of State Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, President of the General Intelligence Khalid bin Ali Al-Humaidan, and Director General of the General Investigation Directorate Gen. Abdulaziz Al-Hoireny.
