The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Yamamah Palace in Jeddah this afternoon.

At the outset of the session, King Salman briefed the Cabinet on the outcomes of his talks and meetings with King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, President of Zambia Edgar Chagwa Lungu, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the armed forces of the UAE Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Prime Minister of South Korea Hwang Kyo-ahn, and Canadian Foreign Minister Stéphane Dion, commending deep relations between the Kingdom and said countries.

The Cabinet welcomed the final statement of the countries that participated in the International Conference on Libya and was briefed on the results of the Ministerial Meeting of the Group of International Support for Syria, which met in Vienna.

The Cabinet expressed its deepest condolences to Egypt; President, Government and People on the victims of EgyptAir crash.

On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the foundation of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), the Cabinet appreciated the great role being played by the Council in attempting to achieve security and stability in the region.

The Cabinet praised the signing by the Kingdom and the UAE on the formation of the Saudi-Emirati Coordination Council, two memorandums of understanding and two action and executive programs with South Korea, and the comprehensive cooperation agreement between the Kingdom and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the fight against terrorism, organized crime and illicit drug trafficking.

The Cabinet concluded its session after discussing a number of domestic topics including the two memoranda of understanding between the Kingdom and France in the field of tourism and cultural heritage, as well as the draft memorandum of understanding between the Kingdom and India for cooperation in the field of health.
