The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh this afternoon.
At the outset of the session, King Salman briefed the Cabinet on his meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and on the programs of cooperation signed with India in all fields. King Salman also briefed the Cabinet on the messages he received from King of Morocco Mohammed VI and Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika. The Cabinet was also briefed on his meetings with a US congressional delegation headed by Senator Lindsey Graham and a delegation of the British Conservative Party's Middle East Group headed by Member of Parliament Alan Duncan.
The Cabinet stressed the Kingdom's aim to achieve global security and stability, noting the Kingdom's announcement on a donation of ten million dollars for the establishment of a specialized center for nuclear counterterrorism at the headquarters of International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna. The Kingdom will also donate five hundred thousand Euros for the modernization project of the Agency's laboratories in Seibersdorf. The Cabinet commended the final statement issued by the countries participating in the Fourth Nuclear Security Summit in Washington.
The Cabinet reaffirmed the Kingdom's strong condemnation of the massacre committed by Assad's forces in Deir Al-Asafeer neighborhood of Damascus, re-asserting the Kingdom's emphasis on the necessity that countries, especially developed ones, hold international responsibility in alleviating the suffering of the Syrian people.
The Cabinet concluded by discussing a number of domestic affairs including the approval of agreement between the Kingdom and Jordan for the management and investment of groundwater, the authorization of the MoU between the Kingdom and Egypt in the field of trade and industry, and authorization of the MoU between the Kingdom and Russia in the field of labor cooperation.
