The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh this afternoon.

King Salman began by expressing his appreciation to the leaders of the countries who offered condolences to the Kingdom on the victims of the pilgrim stampede incident.

The Custodian then briefed the Cabinet on his talks with Yemeni President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi, reconfirming the Kingdom's full support of the legitimate government.
The King also briefed the Cabinet on the outcomes of his talks with President Mohamed Ould Abdulaziz of Mauritania, expressing keenness on enhancing relations in various fields.

On the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Kingdom, the Cabinet expressed gratitude to the security and stability enjoyed by the Kingdom under the leadership of the Kingdom’s founder, the late King Abdulaziz and his faithful sons.

The Cabinet was then briefed on the results of visit to Russia by Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, and his meeting with President Vladimir Putin, discussing the situation in Syria during which the Kingdom expressed keenness to solve the Syrian crisis in accordance with the Geneva I.

The Cabinet was also briefed on the latest regional and international developments. The Cabinet also congratulated Yemen for the return of the legitimate government to Aden, the temporary capital.

The Cabinet denounced Israeli violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Palestinian people, stressing the need to exert international efforts through the United Nations Security Council. It also appreciated the decision issued by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), at the request of the Kingdom, reaffirming Palestinian sovereignty over East Al-Quds (East Jerusalem) and denunciation of Israeli violence against the Palestinians and Palestinian holy sites.

On Libya, the Cabinet welcomed the political agreement reached between representatives of the Libyan parties held in Sukhairat, Morocco on the formation of a national unity government, hoping that this agreement would end the suffering of the Libyan people, and restore unity and stability in Libya.

The Cabinet condemned the Ankara terrorist bombing and re-stressing the Kingdom's solidarity with Turkey in the fight against terrorism.
