The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz attended the opening ceremony this afternoon of the 24th National Festival for Heritage and Culture, organized annually by the National Guard in Al-Janadriya.
Upon his arrival, the King was received by Assistant Deputy Commander of the National Guard for Military Affairs Prince General Miteb Bin Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz, who also serves as Vice Chairman of the Festival’s Supreme Committee.
Also attending the festival, as guests of King Abdullah, were Bahraini King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa and Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.
The festival begins with the annual Grand Camel Race, in which as many as 600 contestants will take part.
