Acting Secretary General of The Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC), Air Vice Marshal Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Mughaidi, met with the Director of Counter terrorism at the US National Security Council Mr. Joe Francisco, at IMCTC HQ in Riyadh. The delegation's visit comes as IMCTC focuses on strengthening strategic partnerships between member states, offering support to countries and international organizations to raise their capabilities, and encouraging the exchange of international best practices, information and expertise aimed at combating terrorism and violent extremism.
During the meeting, they discussed a range of regional and international issues related to combating terrorism and violent extremism, strengthening avenues of cooperation, and their common vision for a peaceful, prosperous, and secure future for the world.
On his part, Mr. Joe Francisco, Director of CT at the NSC, praised the efforts of the Islamic Military Coalition in fighting terrorism, and the role it plays in coordinating, supporting, and intensifying the efforts of member states. He reaffirmed the importance of continued joint cooperation, as well as exchange of practices and expertise between the two parties in the areas of combating violent extremism and terrorism.
