The Jeddah-based International Islamic Relief Organization of Muslim World League has launched an agricultural training program for displaced people in Darfur to help farmers with various training and qualification opportunities. The Secretary-General of the Organization Ihsan Tayyip stated that these training program will benefit 1360 farmers in Alsriv Camp affiliated IIRO and 360 farmers in the village of Tmesku in Darfur. The secretary-general pointed out that the IIRO distributed tracts of land estimated at 18,000 acres of farmland to 20 needy families in Tmesku to be cultivated by various types of vegetables and marketed locally.
