On the sidelines of the 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly, Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, Foreign Minister Dr. Khalid Al-Attiyah of Qatar, and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al-Nahyan of the United Arab Emirate, met this evening in Washington with the heads of relief organizations operating in Yemen. During the meeting, they discussed the humanitarian situation in Yemen as well as the assistance provided so far.
Following the meeting, the Kingdom’s UN Ambassador Abdullah bin Yahya Al-Mouallimi said at a press conference that assistance being provided by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) to the Yemen will continue for years to come. Ambassador Al-Mouallimi added that Saudi aid to Yemen has reached over $500 million.
