On the sidelines of the 70th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations in New York, Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, met with many of his counterparts and important world officials.
Minister Al-Jubeir met Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon, the High Commissioner for Foreign Policy of the European Union Federica Mogherini and President of the International Atomic Energy Agency Yukiya Amano. Discussions reviewed regional and international issues as well as topics on the General Assembly's agenda.
In other separate meetings, Minister Al-Jubeir met U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry. Discussions included bilateral relations, regional and international issues as well as topics on the agenda of the General Assembly. Meetings with Al-Jubeir’s counterparts included; Spain's Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Garcia, Albania's Foreign Minister Ditmir Bushati, Foreign Minister of Afghanistan Salahuddin Rabbani, Foreign Minister of Venezuela Delcy Rodriguez, Somali Foreign Minister Abdulsalam bin Omer, Tunisian Foreign Minister Taieb Baccouche,
French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius, and Sudanese foreign minister Ibrahim Ghandoor.
Foreign Minister Al Jubeir also met Khalid Khoja, the President of the Syrian National Coalition at the Kingdom's Permanent Mission to the UN. During the meeting, they discussed the Syrian crisis and its latest developments in addition to ways to support the legitimate rights of the Syrian people and the preservation of Syrian unity and sovereignty.
