Executed Terrorist Had Fair Trials
The Minister of Justice Sheikh Dr. Waleed bin Mohammed Al-Samaani said that those convicted to death in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia today have enjoyed all judicial warrants guaranteeing fair justice for them.
The minister said in a statement that the judiciary in the Kingdom is constitutional and objective having its rulings and systems based on the Islamic Sharia, a matter always confirmed by the Kingdom's observed systems and its rulers' instructions.
He went on to say that the rulers of the Kingdom have dealt great attention and interest in the judiciary, lending it their full support to guarantee the achievement of justice.
He explained that suspects who appear before specialized criminal courts receive, as is the case in all courts in the country, all kinds of rights that guarantee fair litigation before independent judges who have no instructor by the Islamic rules and instructions as any suspect will have the right to have a lawyer to defend him, could object any ruling through the prescribed demurral means and if acquitted, the system offers him fair compensations for any harm that he might have incurred, according to Islamic Sharia law.
The Minister of Justice said judiciary has legal bases that govern the criminalization and punishment from the criminal point of view.
He added that the rulings of Saudi Arabia's judiciary undertake the basics of legal prosecution and the incident's correct adaptation standards without prejudice against or with the suspect's intellectual, racial or sectarian belongingness as per Islamic Sharia principles of equality and justice among litigants.
Dr. Al-Samaani drew the attention to the fact that he would increasingly be sad to see bloodshed and mosques demolished by groups and organizations who adopt Takfeer as a methodology and crime-committing as a daily-behavior, a flagrant breach of the teachings of Islam which prevents harming not only humans but also animals.
Concluding his statement, the Minister said the Kingdom spares no effort to fight and combat terrorism to allow its citizens and expatriates enjoy security, safety and reassurance, lauding the efforts being exerted by the judicial institution to achieve justice and apply the Islamic rules on whoever was convicted of crimes he has committed, appealing to Allah Almighty to preserve the country's security and safety and that any Muslim deviant could come back to the road of correctness and repentance.
