The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has approved delegating Princess Haifa bint Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf Al Muqrin to be a Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
Princess Haifa, who holds a Master of Science in Economics from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) of the University of London, has extensive experience in social and economic fields and their applications and international work.
She began her career in academic work in the Department of Economics at King Saud University, then she moved to the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) as projects officer between 2009 and 2016.
Afterwards, Princess Haifa moved to the Ministry of Economy and Planning as head of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) sector, and an assistant undersecretary for G20 affairs, in addition to serving as assistant undersecretary for Sustainable Development in the Ministry. She also holds several memberships in international, regional and local committees and councils.
