His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman along with His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Salman, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to the United States of America, visited Katy, Texas near Houston, to meet with business and government leaders at an event hosted by Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC). Special guests included U.S. Secretary of Energy Rick Perry, Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant, and other officials. The event focused on SABIC’s growth aspirations globally, as well as, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to innovation and development, a core focus of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. In the event's ceremony, SABIC recognized Houston as the hub of its Americas Region operations, and announced it is assessing a project to design a new Americas Region head office. The decision to begin construction of the new proposed headquarters will be made at the end of an ongoing process and is contingent upon receiving the necessary local and environmental permits. SABIC has had a presence in the U.S. since 1987, and today has 14 facilities across the U.S.
