On March 23, 2018 His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received the United States' Secretary of Treasury, Secretary Steven Mnuchin.  During the meeting, His Royal Highness emphasized the importance of the Saudi-U.S. partnership. He noted the role this relationship will play within the development of the Kingdom’s transformational reform program, Vision 2030. The United States and the Kingdom share long- standing ties, including in the areas of trade and investments. Both countries not only work together to develop trade and a better economic exchange, but to combat terrorism through counterterror financing programs that aim to block funding that supports extremists’ violent activities and destabilizing agendas.
