Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz patronized the ceremony marking the selection of Madinah as the capital of Islamic culture for the year 1434 H. [2013] this evening. Accompanying by several senior officials, the Crown Prince toured the Ma’araz Al-Eiman Exhibition and viewed photos depicting the history of Madinah.
Addressing the gathering, Crown Prince Salman said, “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has the great honor to pay all attention to the Two Holy Mosques since the reign of the late King Abdulaziz (May God bestow mercy upon his soul), the reign of the former kings, until the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, who has paid his full attention to the interest, development and progress of the homeland, especially the Two Holy Mosques.” He added, “The most important achievement of King Abdulaziz and the Kings is the security of the people, pilgrims, visitors and residents. Praise be to God that pilgrims, Umrah performers, and visitors perform their Hajj rituals easily and comfortably and all services and facilities have been provided to them. I am honored to meet with you in this city today.”
