The Governor of the Eastern Province HRH Prince Saud bin Nayef inaugurated today the Downtown Awamiya project in the city of Al Qatif, Saudi Arabia. HRH was received by mayor Fahd Al-Jubeir, the governor of Qatif and a number of senior officials.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has reviewed the report submitted by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, chairman of the anticorruption committee, which was established by royal decree no.38/A on 15/2/1439H. The report states that the committee has concluded its tasks and indicates that 381 individuals have been summoned, some of whom were summoned only to testify.

The Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Washington, D.C., has appointed Mr. Fahad Nazer as its new Official Spokesperson.
Nazer replaces Ms. Fatimah Baeshen, who served in the role since September 2017. She is now pivoting to academia and back to her field of socioeconomic development work.
Before his appointment, Nazer was an International Fellow at the National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations, where he provided expertise on political, social, and economic developments in Saudi Arabia, and on the threat posed by extremist groups on the Arabian Peninsula.

The Saudi Arabian government has strongly objected to the allegations made in the article titled “On the Front Line of the Saudi War in Yemen? Child Soldiers from Darfur”, that was published by the New York Times on December 28. The Embassy states that the story is false and seriously flawed by lack of evidence and several unsubstantiated claims.
