Adviser at the Royal Court and General Supervisor of The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah announced on Tuesday, November 20th, the launch of an initiative called "The Supply Initiative in Response to the Food Crisis in Yemen", or "Imdaad" in Arabic. The initiative seeks to bridge the critical humanitarian needs gap in Yemen by providing additional support in the amount of US $500 million to support 10-12 million affected Yemenis through UN, international, regional and local organizations.
The Public Prosecution said in a press briefing that through the investigation carried out up to date with the 21 suspects in the case of the murder of Saudi citizen Jamal Khashoggi, the investigation has resulted in the following findings:
1. The incident began on 19/1/1440 (29/9/2018) upon the issuance of an order to bring back the victim by means of persuasion, and if persuasion fails, to do so by force. The former Deputy President of the General Intelligence Presidency (GIP) issued this order to the leader of the mission.
The Public Prosecutor issued a statement following the two previous statements issued on 19/10/2018 and 25/10/2018 in reference to the case of the murder of Saudi citizen Jamal Khashoggi, may Allah bless his soul, and based on the information provided through the joint Saudi- Turkish Joint team, and the investigations conducted by the Public Prosecutor with the suspects in custody, whose total number has reached (21) individuals; after the summoning of (3) additional suspects by the Public Prosecution.
The Yemen Comprehensive Humanitarian Operations Support Center has viewed what was published by humanitarian and human rights organizations regarding the use of hospitals for military purposes by the Houthi militia; That includes: taking posts at the roof of a hospital in Hodeidah, placing snipers there and using civilians and patients as human shields, which is considered a flagrant violation of International Laws and norms, especially the International Humanitarian Law and its Customary Rules.
