Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Prince Mohammad bin Naif chaired the Cabinet's session held today at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah.
At the outset of the session, the Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the Cabinet on the outcome of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques audience held for King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain.
(WASHINGTON, DC) – The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is committed to seeking a solution to the crises in Syria and continues to be one of the largest providers of aid to the Syrian people, including taking in millions of citizens from the war-torn country.
Saudi Arabia has taken in around 2.5 million Syrians since the beginning of the crisis. An estimated 600,000-700,000 still remain in the country.
Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense arrived in Washington for the meeting of the Global Coalition to Counter ISIL.
The meeting will focus on strengthening the mutual cooperation of the coalition countries in order to defeat Daesh (ISIL).

(WASHINGTON, DC) – During an appearance on CNN, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir addressed the recent release of the ‘28 pages’ that had been redacted from the 2002 Congressional Joint Inquiry. “The only surprise in the ‘28 pages’ is that there was no surprise,” said Minister Al-Jubeir. The Foreign Minister highlighted the fact that while many who have pointed to the ‘28 pages’ for more than a decade as proof of Saudi government involvement in 9-11, the report in fact states that no conclusions were reached nor was the Joint Inquiry in a position to make such claims.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz has sent a cable of condolences to French President Francois Hollande following the terrorist running-over incident which took place in Nice.
Ambassador to the United States Abdullah Al-Saud responded today to the declassification of the redacted 28 pages of the 2002 House and Senate Joint Inquiry.
Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir said Saudi Arabia welcomed the release of the 28 pages redacted from the Congressional Joint Inquiry into 9/11, and reiterated the Kingdom’s commitment to crushing terrorism at home and abroad.
“Since the tragic events of 9/11, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has embarked on a series of major steps in confronting terrorism,” Minister Al-Jubeir said at a press conference at the Saudi Embassy in Washington following Friday’s release of the 28 pages.
The Makkah-based Secretariat General of Muslim World League condemned the Nice terrorist act killing and injuring civilians who were celebrating Bastille Day. The League's Secretary General Dr. Abdullah Al-Turki said in a statement that the MWL stresses its firm position that such terrorism are not related to Islam and contradict human values and principles.
The General Secretariat of the Council of Senior Scholars has condemned the heinous terrorist act in the French city of Nice. In a statement, the Council stressed that Islam magnifies the sanctity of human blood and criminalizes terrorism that kills and terrorizes innocent people in their homes, markets and facilities teeming with men, women and children, and that all humanity rejects and condemns it.
The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has strongly condemned the terrorist act in Nice, French, which resulted in killing and wounding a large number of innocent civilians who were celebrating Bastille Day.
The GCC Secretary General Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani reaffirmed the GCC states' solidarity with France and said that this criminal and cowardly act was carried out by why people stripped from all moral and human values.
He offered his condolences to the families of the victims and the French government and friendly people, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs this evening the attack carried out by a man who drove a truck into crowds celebrating Franc’s National Day in Nice.
In a statement, the ministry expressed Saudi Arabia's strong condemnation of the heinous terrorist act, which resulted in death of over 70 people and injuring dozens. The Foreign Ministry reaffirmed the Kingdom's solidarity with France and cooperation to confront all forms of terrorism.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz arrived in Tanger today on a private visit to Morocco. Prior to his departure from the Kingdom, King Salman issued a royal order deputing Crown Prince Mohammad bin Naif bin Abdulaziz to administer the state's affairs and take care of the interests of the people during his absence.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir met today in Washington with a number of senior members of the US Congress. During the meetings, they discussed a number of regional and international issues including the latest developments in Yemen and the Syrian crisis and efforts to combat terrorism and the peace process in the Middle East. They also discussed the recent visit to Washington by Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Second Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister.

King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid (KSRELIEF) signed today an executive program with Doctors Across Continents of Turkey to set up an artificial limb center in Yemen’s Marib Province Hospital. The $670,000 agreement aims to provide equipment, operation and training for a year.

Yemeni President Abed Rabbo Hadi said that the Saudi-led Arab Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen has succeeded in stopping Iran interventions and ambitions in the region.
During a meeting today in Marib Province, President Hadi said that the Arab coalition countries, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, has restored the nation’s glory and foiled Iranian intervention through its surrogates, former president Ali Abdullah Saleh and the Huthis, who are totally dependent on the Iranians.
Most of Yemeni province of Al-Joaf has been liberated from Houthi grip by the Yemeni army and the popular resistance, Chief of General Staff Maj. Gen. Mohammed Ali Al-Magdeshi, announced today while inspecting the army forces and popular resistance stationed on the frontlines in Al-Joaf Province, north east of Yemen.
The King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid (KSRELIEF) distributed over 900 tons of medicine and medical supplies as part of its continuing support of health care services in Yemen. Over 1.6 million people, including 300,000 children below the age of five and 416,000 women have benefited from KSRELIEF program.
The King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid (KSRELIEF) has funded a number of humanitarian programs, including programs that targeted child, pregnant women and the elderly in Yemen. The programs carried out by the World Health Organization (WHO) with health partners in Yemen. Over 7.5 million Yemenis benefited from these programs.
The Ministry of Interior announced today the identity of the suicide bomber behind the July 4 attack in Madinah and of the perpetrators of the Qatif suicide bombing on the same day. Four security officers were killed in the Madinah bombing. The ministry also announced that investigations have led to the arrest of 19 persons who were involved in these attacks as well as the attack in Jeddah, including seven Saudi citizens and 12 Pakistani nationals. Those investigations are continuing.

Deputy Chief of Mission Sami Al-Sadhan his morning hosted the embassy’s annual Eid Al-Fitr prayers at the embassy to mark the end of Ramadan. After the prayers, the embassy hosted a breakfast guests, which included embassy staff, members of the Saudi community, representatives of the Saudi armed forces in Washington, as well as Saudi students.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, performed in Medinah today the funeral prayer on the soul of martyred security men who were killed in a terrorist attack near the Prophet's Mosque in Medinah. The funeral prayer also was performed by Imam of the Prophet's Mosque Sheikh Dr. Ali bin Abdulrahman Al-Hudhaifi; and Medinah Governor Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz.
The Ministry of Interior identified the perpetrator of suicide bombing in Jeddah as Abdullah Qalzar Khan, a Pakistani national. The ministry said that Khan was born in Pakistan on Sept. 15, 1981 and resided in Jeddah with his wife and her parents. He came to the Kingdom 12 years ago to work as a private driver.

The Ministry of Interior announced today that two suicide bombings were carried out before Maghrib (evening) prays in Madinah and Qatif. The ministry said that that before Maghrib prayers in Madinah, security men suspected a person while he was heading to the Prophet's Mosque through a visitor’s parking lot. When they intercepted him, he detonated an explosive vest, which resulted in his death, killing four security men, and injury of 5 other security men.
The King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid (KSRELIEF) distributed yesterday 10,000 food parcels and 20 tons of dates in the directorate of Sabr Al-Mouadem in Taiz Governorate through the humanitarian relief coalition and its partners of associations and institutions in the governorate.
The distribution is part KSRELIEF project to distribute 100,000 new food baskets and 200 tons of dates to the affected people in six besieged directorates in Taiz Governorate.
The Interior Ministry announced this morning that suicide bomber blows himself up in a hospital parking lot in Jeddah. The ministry reported that at 2:15 am on Sunday, July 3, at the intersection of Palestine Street and Hail Street, near the parking lot of Dr. Suleiman Faqih Hospital in Jeddah, a police patron spotted a man acting suspiciously and as they approached him he detonated an explosive belt he was wearing inside the hospital's parking lot, killing him and slightly wounding two security men. The incident is under investigation.
The Jeddah-based Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has condemned the terrorist bombing that took place in Baghdad's central district of Karada, which resulted a number of deaths and injuries. OIC's Secretary General Iyad Amin Madani expressed condolences to the families of the victims and wished speedy recovery to the wounded.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia today strongly condemned the shooting and hostage-taking at a restaurant in the diplomatic neighborhood in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom's condolences to the families of the victims and to the Government of the Republic of Bangladesh and its people, with wishes of a speedy recovery for the injured.
