King Salman began by briefing the Cabinet on his meetings with the leaders of the Group of Twenty in Antalya, during which they reviewed aspects of bilateral relations with the Kingdom and keenness on developing them in various fields.

During the meeting, they reviewed a number of issues of common interest. The Minister of National Guard held a luncheon in honor of the visiting US delegation led by Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee Rep. Rob Wittman. The Saudi National Campaign to Support Brothers in Syria is to begin the distribution of winter clothing to Syrian refugees in Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey, in addition to displaced Syrians inside Syria.
The World Health Organization announced today that the Saudi Arabia has officially joined the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control, including the Protocol to Eliminate Illicit Trade in Tobacco Products. Saudi Arabia has become the 11th country to accede to the Protocol. The other states are Austria, Republic of the Congo, Ecuador, Gabon, Mongolia, Nicaragua, Portugal, Spain, Turkmenistan, and Uruguay.
The King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Workings has begun the distribution relief supplies to the victims of Cyclone Chapala in Radhum Province, Yemen. The aid is part of the Kingdom’s support of the Yemeni people.
Director General of the Border Guards Rear Admiral Awad bin Eid al-Balawi met today in Jeddah with the commander of the Iraqi border guards Vice Admiral Hamed bin Abdullah Ibrahim. and his accompanying delegation on Sunday at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah. The discussed boarder security and the creation of a joint mechanism to counter terrorist operations in the border area.
The King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid distributed 5000 food baskets to the needy in Yemen's Taiz Province. The distribution was carried out by the Islamic Relief Commission, the Islamic Relief Coalition, and local organizations.
The 5000 food baskets are part of a 130,000 food basket allotted for Taiz Province, in addition to the overall food security program implemented by King Salman Center to assist all the needy in all parts of Yemen in collaboration with the World Food Program at a total amount of more than $140 million.

The director of the campaigns Lebanon operation, Walid Jalal, said that the distribution in other regions will be done sequentially according to the plan prepared for this purpose and priorities in provided the most needed areas.
As an expression of condemnation by the Kingdom of the Paris terrorist attacks on Friday, both the Kingdom and Alfaisaliah Towers in Riyadh were decorated with the lights of the colors of the French flag. The lights will continue for three days.

It gives me a great pleasure to address this distinguished audience. I would like to thank the Government of Qatar for hosting the 6th Asian Ministerial Energy Round Table and the Government of Thailand for co-hosting this important event in association with the International Energy Forum.
The Saudi National Campaign to Support the Syrian Brothers has launched the third stage of its winter campaign distribute 13,000 winter clothes to more than 500 Syrian families at refugees in Ajlun Region in northern Jordan.
The campaign part of seasonal projects being carried out by the Saudi National Campaign in Jordan, Turkey, Lebanon and inside Syria.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, met today with the Kingdom’s ambassadors-designate. He congratulated them on the royal trust and stressed the importance of enhancing the Kingdom's global role and boosting relations with the countries in which they assigned. The Crown Prince underlined to importance of service the Saudi citizens abroad.
A Saudi aircraft dispatched by King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid arrived at today, carrying 10 tons of food and medical supplies for the mobile clinics for Yemeni refugees at the Obouk Camp.
Saudi Arabia and Serbia today signed a memorandum of understanding on heritage and tourism in Belgrade. The MoU was signed by Prince Sultan bin Salman, President of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage and Rasim Ljajic, Serbia’s Deputy Premier and Minister of Commerce, Tourism and Communications.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir met today in Riyadh with the U.S. Secretary of Energy Dr. Ernest Moniz, currently on a visit to the Kingdom. The meeting discussed issues of common interest and overall political situation, at the regional and international arenas.
Minister of Finance Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf stressed ability of Saudi Arabia's economy to overcome the drop in oil prices. In remarks to Al-Ekhbariya news channel, Minister Al-Assaf said, “despite the decline of oil prices, the Kingdom's economy is growing.” He added that above all, the private sector is growing “at a good rate and express confidence that the Kingdom will overcome this challenge as it did in the past.”

King Salman began by briefing the Cabinet on his phone calls with King Abdullah II of Jordan, U.S. President Barack Obama, and President Vladimir Putin of Russia, as well as the results of his talks with Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud and President of Chad Idriss Deby Itno. The Cabinet was also briefed on King Salman’s meeting with British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond.
Saudi Arabia received 19 million foreign visitors in 2014, half of them were for Hajj and Umrah. This was announced by Hamad Al-Sheikh, vice president of marketing and programs at the General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage, at the World Travel Market London this week.
About 750,000 people are employed in the tourism industry in the Kingdom, a figure that is expected to reach 1.7 million by 2020. Tourism contributes over $21 billion to the economy (2.7 percent of the total GDP), excluding Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.
