On the sidelines of the 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly, Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, Foreign Minister Dr. Khalid Al-Attiyah of Qatar, and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al-Nahyan of the United Arab Emirate, met this evening in Washington with the heads of relief organizations operating in Yemen. During the meeting, they discussed the humanitarian situation in Yemen as well as the assistance provided so far.

Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir this evening addressed the 70th General Assembly of the United Nations in New York, expressed keenness of the Kingdom to achieve the purposes of the UN Charter in maintaining the security and safety of the peoples of the world.
In his address, Minister Al-Jubeir renewed the Kingdom’s determination to eradicate the phenomenon of terrorism from its roots and to dry its financial resources. He also strongly denounced the terrorists' attempts to connection their crimes to Islam, which calls for love, peace, tolerance and moderation.

نجتمع اليوم بعد مضي 70 عاماً على انشاء منظمتنا، ونستذكر سوياً أهداف ومبادئ ميثاق الأمم المتحدة الذى كانت المملكة أحد الدول الموقعة والمؤسسة له في العام 1945م.
The following is the transcript of an interview between Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir and CBS This Morning co-anchor Norah O’Donnell:
O’Donnell: Russia says it is in Syria to defeat ISIS. Do you believe that is why they’re there?
Foreign Minister Al-Jubeir: I believe that there is an international coalition to fight ISIS in Syria. And this coalition includes a number of countries. I believe that if the Russians want to be part of that coalition I doubt that any of the members would mind.
O’Donnell: But they’re currently not.
The Saudi Arabian embassy today celebrates its 85th (according to the Hijra calendar) anniversary of the foundation of the Saudi state by King Abdulaziz Al-Saud on September 23, 1932. Guests included U.S. government officials, members Congress and the diplomatic corps, and embassy staff and members of the Saudi community in Washington.
On the sidelines of the 70th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations in New York, Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, met with many of his counterparts and important world officials.
Minister Al-Jubeir met Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon, the High Commissioner for Foreign Policy of the European Union Federica Mogherini and President of the International Atomic Energy Agency Yukiya Amano. Discussions reviewed regional and international issues as well as topics on the General Assembly's agenda.
In remarks at the Leaders' Summit on Countering ISIL and Violent Extremism hosted by the United Nations, Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir reaffirmed the Kingdom’s resolve to uproot the terrorism phenomenon.
The Royal Court announced today the death of Prince Nawwaf bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the Special Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, who passed away today. Funeral prayer will be performed on Wednesday, September 30 at the Grand Mosque in Makkah.
The Ministry of Interior today said the nearly 1,100 photos distributed to foreign diplomats to help identify nationals who have died in this year’s pilgrimage to Makkah are from the entire event, not just the disaster in Mina. The death toll for the Mina tragedy on September 24th remains 769 people, with another 934 injured.
Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir responded to President Hassan Rouhani’s address to the 70th session of the UN General Assembly today by saying Iran should not be talking about seeking stability in the region as they are behind regional instability. In an interview with Al-Arabiya in New York, Minister Al-Jubeir said President Rouhani is the last to discuss democracy in Syria. "If it was not for Iran, there would not be the destruction and killing we see today in Syria.
(WASHINGTON, DC) – The Saudi Ministry of Interior announced today the dismantling of a five-member terrorist cell hiding in Riyadh and Dammam. Two terrorists were killed and three were arrested by Saudi security forces in coordinated raids. All five terrorists were Saudi nationals.
An Interior Ministry spokesman said the cell planned to carry out a terror attack that had reached late stages of execution.

The fourteenth Saudi relief plane arrived today at Aden International Airport carrying 8 tons of children’s’ supplies, including toys.
The embassy hosted the Eid Al-Adha prayers at the embassy this morning to mark the end of the annual Hajj. After the prayers, the embassy hosted a breakfast for the estimated 400 guests, which included embassy staff, members of the Saudi community, representatives of the Saudi armed forces in Washington, as well as Saudi students.
(WASHINGTON, DC) – In response to a question from the media regarding reports circulating in German social media and other news outlets that the Kingdom plans to build 200 mosques in Germany, Ambassador Osama Ahmed Nugali, head of the Media Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated:
The Saudi Civil Defense announced today that 717 pilgrims were killed and another 805 wounded in a stampeded in Mina. The stampede occurred at 9:00 am at the intersection of 204th and 223rd Streets in Mina. The Civil Defense said it deployed some 4,000 workers along with over 220 ambulances and other vehicles, in response to the disaster.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia today denied rumors circulating in social media in Germany and other news outlets that Saudi Arabia is planning to build 200 mosques in Germany. Ambassador Osama Nugali, manager of the Media Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said in a statement that the “the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques and the birthplace of Islam is committed to supporting Muslim communities around the world.
Crown Prince Mohammad bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, who is also Chairman of Hajj Higher Committee, chaired today in Mina an extraordinary meeting of Hajj security leaders to discuss the stampede in Mina earlier today. During the meeting, the Crown Prince instructed the formation of a special high-level investigative committees to investigate the cause of the stampede and submit its findings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz.
Crown Prince Mohammad bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Chairman of Supreme Hajj Committee announced today that 1,384,941 foreign pilgrims from 164 countries have arrived in the Kingdom for this year’s Hajj. This year’s number reflect a 0.5 percent drop from the previous year.
The General Authority for Civil Aviation (GACA) has reported that as of yesterday, 1,372,148 pilgrims have arrived in the Kingdom since the beginning of this year’s Hajj season. 1,324,175 pilgrims arrived by air, 35,050 pilgrims by land, and 12,923 pilgrims by sea.
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has welcomed the request for an emergency meeting to discuss the Israeli violations of Al-Quds and the occupation forces’ brutal aggression on Al-Aqsa Holy Mosque.

The family of the deceased or those who suffered permanent disability will receive SR 1 million ($267,000) and individuals who suffered other injuries will receive SR 500,000 ($133,333) in assistance. King Salman also issued directives that such payment would not deprive the families of the victims from filing private claims before the competent judicial authorities.

During the meeting, they discussed the developments at the regional and international arenas and as well as issues of mutual concern. They also reviewed aspects of cooperation between the two countries and ways of developing them.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah on Monday afternoon. King Salman began his speech with a prayer on the souls of the victims who lost their lives in the crane accident in the Grand Mosque in Makkah. King Salman also thanked the leaders of the countries who called to express their condolences.
The General Directorate of Passports reported today that as of Sunday, Sept. 13, 1,030,584 pilgrims have arrived in the kingdom from abroad. 995,684 arrived by air; 4,111 by land, and 10,789 by sea.

The Official Spokesman of the Presidency of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet Mosque Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Mansouri said that it is believed that bad weather conditions, including strong sandstorms and torrential rains, were the reasons for the collapsed the of crane on the Grand Mosque.
(WASHINGTON, DC) – The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement today addressing the Kingdom’s efforts to support the Syrian people. Saudi Arabia has been one of the largest providers of aid to Syria’s people, and has taken in millions of citizens from the war-torn country.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained that the following actions have been taken by Saudi Arabia:
