(WASHINGTON, DC) - On behalf of Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Prince Dr. Torki bin Mohammed bin Saud Al-Kabeer, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Multilateral Relations, led the Saudi delegation to the ministerial conference on regional security yesterday at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo. The growing terrorism threat, challenges facing Arab national security and nuclear non-proliferation were discussed during the meeting.
(WASHINGTON, DC) - The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz said that Saudi Arabia is combatting terrorism and extremism at all levels during a statement yesterday in Makkah at the opening ceremony of the conference on Islam and counterterrorism, organized by the Muslim World League. King Salman’s remarks were presented by Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, governor of Makkah and advisor to King Salman.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on this afternoon. At the outset, King Salman briefed the Cabinet on his talks with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates, and Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Emir of Qatar, and the phone call he received from German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
(WASHINGTON, DC) – Saudi Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to fighting terrorism during a statement yesterday at the White House Summit on Countering Violent Extremism. Prince Abdulaziz led the Saudi delegation at the summit.
“Saudi Arabia is fully committed to fighting terrorism and all its sources regardless race, color, religion or doctrine,” said Prince Abdulaziz.
During his remarks, Prince Abdulaziz stressed collective responsibility in fighting extremist ideology and terror financing.
(WASHINGTON, DC) - Today, Saudi Ambassador to the United States Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir hosted a reception for Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Mr. Iyad Ameen Madani, at the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia. Guests included ambassadors from OIC member states.
During a briefing on Islamophobia, Mr. Madani stated, “The OIC condemns terrorism no matter who commits it and where it takes place.” He continued, “One of the most important challenges we face is from within. The faith is being hijacked by extremists.”

King Salman began the meeting by briefing the Cabinet on his talks with Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait, and Britain's Prince Charles; the message received from Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika, and the phone call received from King Philip VI of Spain.

There is no evidence to support Zacarias Moussaoui's claim. The September 11 attack has been the most intensely investigated crime in history and the findings show no involvement by the Saudi government or Saudi officials. As confirmed by the 9/11 Commission, there is "no evidence that the Saudi government as an institution or senior Saudi officials individually funded the organization [Al-Qaeda]."

At the outset, King Salman expressed his sadness over the death of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz. King Salman asks Allah Almighty to bestow upon King Abdullah his mercy, forgiveness and eternal peace, and grant him the best reward for his religion and his country.
