Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz began the Cabinet meeting at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh this afternoon by discussing several reports on local affairs and regional and international developments.
(WASHINGTON, DC) - Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal today reiterated the Kingdom’s approach and continued efforts to reach a peaceful solution in Syria during a speech at the Geneva Conference on Syria hosted in Montreux.
“We meet today, as the Syrian crisis is nearing the end of its third year, without a glimmer of hope to stop the ongoing bloodshed of the Syrian people, and destruction and devastation in Syria, which made this crisis the biggest disaster in modern history,” said Prince Saud.
(WASHINGTON, DC) - Today, Saudi Minister of Finance Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf announced that Saudi Arabia has increased its financial assistance for the Syrian people by $60 million, bringing the total for disbursement during the coming period to $250 million. Al-Assaf made the announcement while addressing the Second International Humanitarian Pledging Conference on Syria held in Kuwait.
Minister of Education Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, who serves as Chairman of the King Faisal International Prize (KFIP) Commission and Executive Director of the King Faisal Foundation, attended a ceremony announcing the winners of the Prize in Riyadh this evening. KFIP Secretary General Dr. Abdullah bin Salih Al-Othaimeen revealed the winners of this year’s Prize, which is offered in five different categories.

(WASHINGTON, DC) - Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz met today with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry at his residence in Rawdhat Khuraim. During their meeting, they discussed the Palestinian-Israeli peace process, as well as regional and international developments. The meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Saudi Ambassador to the U.S. Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, and Tim Lenderking, Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh.
