The Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz Khoja warned that any satellite television channel that instigates sedition among members of the Saudi society, or threatens national unity will be shut down, Saudi Gazette reported today, citing an Al-Watan daily reported. Minister Dr. Khoja told Al-Watan that his ministry would soon issue new regulations regarding the channels that seek to stir racism in the Saudi society and reiterated the ministry’s outright rejection to any such channels, and urged the public to do the same.

(WASHINGTON, DC) – Saudi Arabia distributed last week the first batch of 100,000 blankets for Syrian refugees in Lebanon. The blankets are being distributed as part of the Saudi National Campaign for the Support of Brothers in Syria to help families get through the winter months ahead.
(WASHINGTON, DC) – Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal headed the Saudi delegation to the 4th Ministerial Meeting for the Group of Friends of the Syrian People yesterday in Marrakesh, Morocco. Prince Saud announced the Kingdom’s recognition of the Syrian National Coalition as a legitimate representative of the Syrian people and pledged $100 million in assistance on behalf of the Saudi government to alleviate the suffering of the Syrian people.
President of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz received in Riyadh yesterday a delegation of U.S. mayors currently on a tour of the Kingdom. The group is being headed by the Mayor of Carmel City, Indiana, James Brainard. During the meeting, Prince Sultan briefed the delegation on the Commission’s various projects in the fields of tourism, antiquities and architectural heritage, and then highlighted the distinguished relations between the Kingdom and the United States.
