The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz chaired the Cabinet session at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah today. At the outset, the Cabinet discussed the latest regional and international developments, reiterating the Kingdom’s commitment to stemming the bloodshed in Arab countries and maintaining regional security and stability.
(WASHINGTON, DC) - The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia today issued the following statement regarding the false story being circulated on the Internet regarding implications of Saudi Arabian Airlines membership in the Delta Airlines SkyTeam Alliance:
"Rumors being circulated via the Internet regarding passenger flight restrictions on Saudi Arabian Airlines are completely false. The Government of Saudi Arabia does not deny visas to U.S. citizens based on their religion."
(WASHINGTON, DC) -– A ceremony was held on Saturday to celebrate the graduation of more than 3,000 Saudi students who completed their studies in the U.S. under the King Abdullah Scholarship Program (KASP).
The Minster of Higher Education Khaled Al-Anqari and Saudi Ambassador to the U.S. Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir were present to honor the students at the ceremony. In a videotaped message, the U.S Ambassador to Saudi Arabia James B. Smith congratulated the Saudi graduates, their families, and participants and institutions cooperating with the program.
A group of students from Aiton School in Northeast Washington, D.C. visited the Embassy of Saudi Arabia yesterday, in a culmination of this year’s Embassy Adoption program. Sponsored by the Washington Performing Arts Society and D.C. Public Schools, the Program matches each participating embassy with a school. Embassy personnel visit their “adopted” students during the school year, teaching them about the country they represent. At the conclusion of that period, the students visit their embassy and put on performances showcasing what they have learned.
