The Ministry of Education will launch a SR 1 billion ($267 million) project to upgrade math and science syllabi in the Kingdom’s schools, Al-Watan newspaper reported today.
The new math and science curricula will be introduced in the first and fourth standards of primary schools and the first standard of intermediary schools beginning next academic year. The new curriculam will be introduced in secondary schools the following year.
Capping off their participation in this year’s Embassy Adoption Program, sixth-grade students from Oyster-Adams Bilingual School put on a show last Friday at the Saudi Embassy in Washington to demonstrate what they learned about the Kingdom over the course of five months.

Makkah Governor Prince Khalid Al Faisal inaugurated the Saudi-U.S. Trade and Culture Festival at the Taif Intercontinental Hotel today. The three-day event, organized by the Taif Governorate in cooperation with the Taif Chamber of Commerce and the U.S. Consulate in Jeddah, will focus on the heritage and culture of both the Kingdom and the U.S. The gathering aims to develop and strengthen cultural and commercial relations between the two countries.
