The two countries are working together on mutually beneficial agreements to facilitate immigration, security, and exchange for our two nations.

(NEW YORK) - Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal welcomed U.S. President George Bush's call for United Nations Security Council consensus regarding Iraq, and called upon Iraq to allow UN inspectors back into the country. Saudi Arabia has consistently maintained that the issue of Iraq should be dealt with through the United Nations, and not unilaterally.
As America marks the first anniversary of the terrible events of September 11, 2001, the people of Saudi Arabia offer their deepest condolences to America, especially to the families of those who were lost in the attacks.
In another successful joint anti-terrorism action, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States haven taken steps to freeze the assets of a close bin Ladin aide. Wa’el Hamza Julaidan, a Saudi fugitive, is believed to have funneled money to al-Qaeda.
“We are hunting them down, one by one,” said Prince Bandar bin Sultan, Ambassador to the United States. “Through close cooperation with the United States, we have been able to identify the financial network that supports bin Ladin and take the steps necessary to shut it down.”
(JEDDAH) - As the world marks this first anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks, Crown Prince Abdullah of Saudi Arabia sends a message on behalf of the Saudi people to America. In a letter conveyed to President Bush and the American people, Crown Prince Abdullah wrote:
On the eve of the first anniversary of the terrorist attacks against the American people, I take the opportunity to renew to you and the families of the victims and indeed the entire American nation, the sincere condolences and sympathy of the Saudi people and myself.
The Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Washington DC wishes to clarify several misleading media reports linking the upcoming conference on September 11 in London sponsored by United Kingdom-based radical groups, including Al-Muhajiroun, with Saudi Arabia.
Calling cases of child abduction “a human tragedy”, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal has called for a mechanism that can provide a practical and workable way to resolve these very difficult and delicate situations, saying: “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia deplores the taking of a child without the consent of both parents.”
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has committed, on a per capita basis, more to the rebuilding of Afghanistan, than any of the major donors. From 2001 to date, the total amount of aid pledged to Afghanistan by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is over U.S. $233 million. This is in addition to $37 million donated by Saudi citizens as of the end of 2001.
Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met in Jeddah on Sunday with a U.S. congressional delegation led by Rep. Dan Burton of Indiana, Chairman of the House Government Reform and Oversight Committee, and including Congressman Benjamin Gilman of New York, Chairman of the International Relations Subcommittee on the Middle East; Congressman Bernard Sanders of Vermont; Congressman William Delahunt of Massachusetts; Congressman Mike Rogers of Michigan; and Congressman Brian Kerns of Indiana. The meeting was attended by U.S. Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Robert Jordan.
