Sacrificial meat shipments arrive in Gambia, Senegal, Mauritania

A ship carrying 5,000 heads of sacrificial meat has arrived at the port of Banjul in The Gambia, where it will be distributed to the needy. The delivery is part of the Kingdom’s Project for the Utilization of Sacrificial Meat, which is being administered by the Islamic Development Bank (IDB). Last week, the ship delivered 10,000 heads of sacrificial meat to Dakar Port in Senegal, and then an additional 10,000 to Nouakchott Port in Mauritania.

For the 1434 H. Hajj season, the Kingdom plans to distribute 770,000 heads of meat in the Kingdom and 200,000 heads in 23 countries.
