WHO report: Malaria almost eliminated in the Kingdom

Saudi Arabia has been successful in its campaign to eradicate malaria, the World Health Organization (WHO) reported in its 2009 World Malaria Report.  Saudi Arabia, the reported stated, “showed evidence of a sustained decrease in the number of cases associated with widescale implementation of malaria control activities.”
