1,167,000 pilgrims have departed Jeddah

As of December 11, more than 1,167,000 pilgrims have departed King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah aboard 4,526 flights. That number represents about 93% of the 1,253,653 pilgrims who came to the Kingdom from abroad to perform Hajj this year.
According to a report released today by the Secretariat of the Hajj Committee in Madinah, a total of 725,458 pilgrims have arrived in Madinah through Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport and other entry points after performing Hajj rituals. A total of 573,165 pilgrims have left the city, while 152,148 pilgrims remain to offer prayers at the Prophet’s Holy Mosque. Indonesians topped the list of pilgrims arriving in Madinah, with a figure of 52,352, followed by 31,816 Pakistanis and 29,971 Indians.
