December 9, 2009

A Border Guard patrol in Najran Province has foiled an attempt by smugglers to bring 40 tons of hashish into the Kingdom. Brigadier General Abdulrahman Al-Shehri, Acting Commander of the Najran Border Guards, reported that a patrol located and pursued a group of smugglers, who fled the scene and left the drugs behind. Patrols are working around the clock, using thermal cameras, to closely monitor traffickers across the area’s rough terrain, he added.
