King Abdullah thanks U.S. President for congratulations

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has sent a cable to U.S. President Barack Obama thanking him for his good wishes following the monarch’s recent successful back surgery. King Abdullah wrote to the U.S. President, “I have received a congratulatory cable from both Your Excellency and the First Lady on the occasion of the success of the surgical operation I have recently undergone. Thank you for your noble feelings and sincere sentiments, praying to God Almighty to bestow good health on everybody.”

The King took the opportunity to praise the strong personal ties binding him with President Obama, wishing the U.S. leader success in his second term. He added, “I laud the current close historical relations between our two friendly countries and peoples, confirming our eagerness to continue enhancing the relations between our two countries in all fields and to work together for the enhancement of world security and peace. Accept, Mr. President, my sincere greetings and respect.”
