King Abdullah “enjoying good health”

Minister of Health Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah has offered reassurances regarding the health of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, who underwent surgery for a herniated disc in New York last week. “I would like to reassure all Saudi nationals as well as everyone who expressed concern over His Majesty’s health that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques is doing extremely well and is currently undergoing a physiotherapy and rehabilitation program as recommended by his medical team,” Dr. Al-Rabeeah said in a statement. “We pray to Allah Almighty for His Majesty’s continuing good health and well-being.” He concluded, “I have been directed by His Majesty to convey his warm greetings and deep appreciation to everyone.”

In a separate statement, Second Deputy Prime Minister Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz noted that the King is “enjoying good health” and is up and walking inside the hospital.
