Saudi medical team to perform free open-heart surgeries in Yemen

A Saudi medical team began performing open-heart surgeries free of charge today in two hospitals in the Yemeni capital of Sana’a. In a statement, Abdulrahman Khader, Executive Director of the Taibah Development Organization, said that the Saudi medical team will perform approximately 80 surgeries, ranging from open-heart to cardiac catheterization operations. The initiative will seek to assist low-income children and adults with heart problems.
